  2.  David Single  I'm am really frustrated at the moment. I have friends who live in Wales(UK) as part of the route I go through Hay On Wye, World famous for second hand books. Perfect place for me to take a breack. :-)

  3. With a print book , you supply the voice and looks of a carachter. With audio , your stuck with the voice of he reader for all carachters.

  7.  @r.blakehole932  Intrestingly a lot of archives are going back to paper for just that reason. A lot of stuff on one foremat wont read on another , and formats change quickly.

  8. I worked with someone who had been a printer. He could lay down a sheet of paper , then just tear it perfectly straight. I kept trying , it drove me up the wall! :-)

  12. I did a theise on Tolkien and the Great War. Then came the films and evreybody 'Knew 'Tolkien. Films etc fail in one important factor. An authour can write about how a person thinks, films can't show that. Also especially in Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, there are things out of place. Only if you then search out more do you find why , they are there. The book then reads totally diffrent.

  15. You can't hide behind an e book. The batterys don't go flat on a printed book. You can't easily flick back and forward on an e book. its difficult to have three or four e books open at deiffernt pages on the desk. you cant have big pictures in most e books. Very importrantly! You can't go mooching around a used E book store. I'll stick to print.
