  4. Strangles is a bacterial infection causing swelling of the lymph nodes. Including in the throat. Even if an animal recovers they are likly to suffer life long respiratory problems. It can be spread by cysts dropping from sub clinical animals onto the ground. First actions on suspecting an animal with Strangles, Isolate.

  7. At least in UK if the animal dies of an infectious disease then the carccas must be incinerated. If a cull is needed then at least do it cleanly.
