  1. I was born and brought up in Jersey- The Island was Occupied by the NAZIs. The people who influenced me as a child had endured the Occupation, I feel it always gives me a diffrent perception to other British people on this period. Intresting to hear the onion of an informed person, from another background on British Folklore of the war. Brings up food for thought.

  2. A large number of Russian POWs ended up in the Channel Island's and the Island of Alderney- the only NAZI concentration camp on Britsh soil building NAZI fortifications. . The stories are dreadful, and the treatment of these prisoners following Liberation, by Russia was as horrific.
