China and Soviet allied against West in proxy war like First Indochina War, Korean War, Vietnam War, After Sino-Soviet Split 1958, China confronted with both capitalism and socialism world in 1960s. USA Soviet allied against China in Sino-Soviet Conflicts, Sino-Indian Conflicts, Taiwan strait crisis, Tibet Xinjiang Conflicts. Soviet threatened to nuke China in 1969, Nixon visited Mao in 1972, Mao then regarded Soviet as bigger threat, Deng even became more pro-USA, pro-capitalism since 1978 reform, China and USA allied against Soviet in Third Indochina War, Soviet-Afghan War. After old Cold War ended, China and Russia need to face USA containment, but both USA Russia didn't really treat China as big threat, so China only focus on economy not get involved in even proxy war for 30 years. Now China knows that China is biggest enemy is American bipartisan mindset So Cold War 2.0, China may be allied with Russia in Ukraine or Eastern Europe, Taiwan or First Island Chain, China didn't sanction Russia or Ukraine, China also didn't sell weapons to Russia or Ukraine, Because Ukraine used to be pro-China for 30 years, only Zelenskyy became more pro-USA and kinda anti-China, China never accepted Russian Cremia. Russia didn't tell China but invade Ukraine, but China will keep Russia alive not collapse, China also told Russia not use nukes, I think China will convince Russia to give up new territory, also Ukraine to stay neutral, China will rebuild Ukraine. Why? Because China wants to win EU when USA sold 4 times higher gas to EU, even deindustralize Germany.
