So why did the United States gave the South China Sea to ally Chinese instead of the ally Filipino?   3. Greece controls 95% islands in Aeagean Sea but Turkey only controls 5%, why? because Greece was the winner side after Balkan War, WWI, WWII. ROC is also winner side and biggest Asian contributor after WWII in 1945, so Chinese drew 11dashline when all Southeast Asia were still western colonies.

Chinese fought against Japanese in WWII, American puppets in Chinese Civil War, Americans in Korean War and Vietnam War, Indians in Sino-Indian War, Russians in Sino-Soviet War, capitalist Vietnamese in Paracel battle, and communist Vietnamese in Third Indochina War, so Chinese have more guts to death and killing experience. Chinese will add all First Island Chain countries in Anti-encirclement and suppression List.

  11.  @simonriley118  It is because the PRC is a signatory to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea that Beijing claims the islands within the 9-dash line instead of treating the South China Sea as its own internal waters, just like Greece seems to own 95% of the islands in the Aegean Sea, while Turkey only owns 5% of the islands in the Aegean Sea, but the Aegean Sea is still not Greece’s internal waters, because Greece is also a signatory to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

If you want to say that the PRC only bully the weak, you can only show that you are too ignorant of the history of the CCP. When the CCP fought against the Japanese army, the ROC army, the United Nations force, the Indian army, and the Soviet army, all these enemies they had the upper hand at least on paper, .
