  1.  @avatarairbinder6157  At the end of World War II, the ROC claimed the 11-dash line in 1945, the West and the Soviet Union asked ROC to take over the control of South China Sea after Japanese troops retreated. the US navy lent 8 warships to the Chinese, then the four ROC navy warships landed on Taiping Island, Thitu Island, Triton Island, Woody Island and set up stone tablets in 1946. Today Taiwan still claims 11-dash line since 1945, controls Taiping island and Dongsha island, but Thitu Island was lost in the Philippines due to storm in 1971, Taiwan wanted to take back but canceled military operation against the Philippines under pressure from the united states, ROC Taiwan did not give up the claim on Thitu island until today. PRC just inherited same claim from ROC after 1949, but PRC changed from 11-dash line to 9-dash line after CCP gave Bach Long Vi island as gift to North Vietnam for monitoring US military reconnaissance aircraft. When Chinese claimed 11-dash line, British Malaya, American Philippines, French Vietnam, Dutch Indonesia, all Southeast Asian countries were Western colonies in 1945. Therefore, when the West masters gave the South China Sea as a gift to the friend ROC, the Southeast Asians as slaves couldn't and didn't oppose 11-dash line claim. So why did the United States gave the South China Sea to ally Chinese instead of the ally Filipino? Because The post-war order is always decided by the winners according to contributions during the war and only the big contributors can distribute the spoils, because ROC suffered tens of millions of casualties, KMT/CCP wiped out more Japanese than all of Southeast Asia combined, the Chinese persisted against Japan until Japan surrendered in 1945, all Southeast Asians and Western colonial troops didn't resist long enough but surrendered to Japan in 1942. Therefore, the ROC is the only independent country in Asia that made the greatest contribution to World War II. That’s why the international community has acquiesced in China's claims to the South China Sea, or you tell me why?
