  1.  @fattyacid1901  the root reason for Sino-Soviet split is not about communism definition but geopolitics, it's similar to Tito-Stalin Split even they are both communists, Soviet helped Chinese industrialilaztion after Korean War, then big brother Soviet tried to militarily control China like USA did to Japan because Soviet felt deserved it, but Mao refused joint fleets with Soviet Navy in Chinese coast like to be like Eastern European satellite states, then Soviet regarded China as not real communist but nationalist, a huge version of rebellious Yugoslavia, then Soviet also supported India in Sino-India War 1962, Chinese then recalled memory that Russian Empire annexed Outer Manchuria and Outer Xinjiang from Qing Empire, Soviet even supported Mongolia Independence from ROC and refused Mao's reclaim, so CCP considered Soviet as red imperialist like Kuomingtang especially after Soviet invaded his communist bros Hungary and CzechSlovakia. then Soviet and China even competed to support North Vietnam during Vietnam War, it's like there was two giants fighting for power in socialism world, actually China spent too much to Vietnam when Chinese were so poor, that's when Mao was against both superpowers USA and Soviet and their allies during 1959-1969. China attacked Soviet on disputed border but Soviet tried to nuke China after Sino-Soviet border conflicts 1969, there are many border disputes with Russia India after Qing Empire collapsed but weak ROC can't take control back or really give sovereignty up, like even today Taiwan still claims those sovereignty annexed by Russia India Kazakhstan Vietnam Mymmar 11dashline in ROC Constitution, when Soviet became more nuke threat then Mao shaked hand with Nixon against Soviet expansion, because Nixon realized USA can't contain both Soviet China in Vietnam War and USA running out of gold and in nationwide civil rights movement in late 1960s, then Mao gave pressure to Vietcong to respect Paris peace treaty, not to really unify South Vietnam by force, or China would slow down supplying. China stopped Vietnam to be sole hegemony in Indochina, if not China then whole Indochina will be Vietnamese Empire, because Vietcong just kicked out USA, Soviet also supported them, who can really stop their dream, like Thailand also attacked Vietcong in Thai-Cambodian border, or at least Indochina Federation without French. but today Vietnam has to share power with other ASEAN countries and Vietnam is lossing control Laos. France stays for hundreds of years, USA stays for decades, but China would stay besides for another 1,000 years, even Vietnam War caused much much much more damage than 1979 war, like 3 million people died but its unnecessary to worry anymore especially USA need Vietnam to contain China now, Vietnam also need American investment. USA used South Vietnam to contain China then China intervered in Second Indochina War against South Vietnam, Soviet used Vietnam to contain China then China intervered in Third Indochina War, I don't think Vietnam want to be used by USA against China in future Fourth Indochina War, as long as Vietnam plays more anti-China attitude then American companies will invest supply chain to Vietnam, as long as Vietnam is not too pro-USA then China would allow Chinese factories go to Vietnam, Vietnam can get benefits from both if Vietnam is not stupid to get involved in another proxy war again.
