  6. ​ @jerryle379  that's since Sino-Soviet Split since 1958, it's China was anti-USA(capitalism+imperialism) in Vietnam and anti-Soviet(revisionism+imperialism) in communism world in 1960s, but it's Soviet even tried to nuke his communism bro China in Sino-Soviet Conflicts 1969, that's why Mao gave up anti-US(but still anti-capitalism) atitude and only maintained anti-Soviet(social imperialism) atitude and normalized relation USA, Dengxiaoping even went pro-USA(even pro-capitalism aka 1978 Reform) and anti-Soviet(anti-expansionism in Afghanistan and Indochina), the root reason is similar to Tito-Stalin Split because China is too big that's why Soviet can't treat China as satellite state politically militarily even ideologically, so China can fight against Soviet aggression but Vietnam just can't because Vietnam knew and don't know Vietnam is too small..Vietnam knew they are small and tough after kicked off France Japan even USA, Vietnam also knew if Vietnam wanted to be superpower then Vietnam should 'unify' whole French Indochina Federation(Laos+Cambodia) even Chinese Guangdong if China was weak, and Vietnam knew China won't be happy about Vietnam expansion that's why Vietnam allied with Soviet against China, when you said Rouge Khmer is evil then how many Hoa people aka BOAT PEOPLE(Chinese-Vietnamese race)was alive in Vietnam after Vietcong's purge? Cambodia killed Vietnamese-Cambodian race so Vietnam punished Cambodia, but Vietnam killed Chinese-Vietnamese race so China punished Vietnam, if you really dig into history then you see. South Vietnam is pro-France in First Indochina War, then China sponsored Vietcong against colonist. South Vietnam is pro-USA in Second Indochina War, then China supported North Vietnam against imperialist. Vietnam is pro-Soviet in Third Indochina War, then China supported Rouge Khmer and attacked expansionist. if Vietnam is pro-USA anti-China this time, China will support Laos and Cambodia against Vietnam, and take back Vietnam-controlled islands including Bach Long Vi island, you know it's China gave Bach Long Vi island to Vietcong in US-Vietnam War, right? maybe you also remember North Vietnam used to support China claim on Paracel Island at first place but changed after Vietnam reunification.Le Duan finally failed his ambition because Vietnam lost economy and can't annex Cambodia so I don't think there will be another Le Duan against China, or Vietnam will lose more lands like Mekong delta region aka Lower Cambodia to Cambodia.I don't think Vietnam wants to contain China like cannon fodder for USA in Forth Indochina War, 45 years war history taught a good lesson to Vietnam that you need power to hold your ambition, now Vietnam wants more balanced relation with China and USA because Vietnam is promising in last 20 years peace but still too poor and less industralized, and Vietnam knew once China attacked Vietnam for being pro-USA anti-China, Chinese or international investiment will just leave and USA won't save Vietnam because Vietnam is not core interest for USA or Russia because too far away. because Vietnam knew USA won't attack China for Vietnam just like Soviet didn't help Vietnam when China attacked Vietnam. recently Vietnam became cocky again like Vietcong government or Vietnamese nationalists or pro-USA South Vietnamese all hate Chinese vaccines and wait for American vaccines, then Delta just destroyed Vietnam economy and Vietnam is still waiting for Western vaccines, I would say Vietnam's pride is good but ego is wrong, you refused Chinese vaccine and you think USA will help you? no, even Australia can't get enough American vaccines, maybe all Vietnamese overestimated USA and underestimated China because your anti-Chinese propaganda brainwashed you, Vietnam's success on pandemic just got destroyed so easily by Delta because Vietnam distrust Chinese vaccines, well that's the price you paid. if Vietnam is smart and pro-China then Vietnam will be China's Canada. if Vietnam is lazy and pro-China then Vietnam will be China's Mexico. if Vietnam is naive and anti-China then Vienam will be China's Cuba or Nicaragua.

  7.  @Pein061  Vietnam will never put all eggs in one bucket? but you put all your eggs in USA just recent years right? that's why Vietcong government, Vietnamese media, Vietnamese people all refused Chinese vaccines because anti-Chinese propaganda, ironically Vietnam also can't get enough American or Russian vaccines, right? finally Vietnam learnt a lesson that maybe you should balance relation with China and West.
