China and North Korea were blood alliance in Korean War against US-led UN Command force, but the relationship became cold after Sino-Soviet conflict, Vietcong became Soviet ally to contain China, then China attacked Vietcong sponsored Cambodia against Vietnam, mujahideen against Soviet, now US wanted to make Vietnam and North Korea to contain China, China doesn't want North Korea to be next Vietnam.
