70 years? nope, precisely it's China worried Taiwan's unification war (retake mainland and rescue compatriots) before 1980s when Taiwan navy was stronger, then it's Taiwan is afraid China's unification war (liberate Taiwan and unify China) when Chinese navy became stronger after 1980s. so it's 40 years not 70 years, because it's Taiwan tried to invade China in 1949-1979

if Russian troops in dpr lpr Donbass is invader under UN charter, then US troops in Taiwan Syria is also invader under UN charter, right? West is arming Ukraine to unify Donbass and defeat Russia invader, but West is invading Taiwan by arming separatist? even Ukraine wants to unify own country, what EU really expect from China then?

CCP even joined Korean War, first &second Indochina War to defend buffer zone North Korea and North Vietnam against USA's anti-communist Bamboo Curtain for 30 years, CCP attacked India 1962 even Soviet 1969 due to territory dispute when CCP was poorer than Africa, CCP also joined Third Indochina War and Soviet-Afghan War against Soviet's anti-Chinese encirclement for 10 years, you think CCP would give up Taiwan for economy and do nothing to USA's new Bamboo Curtain? you don't know Chinese mindset and CCP role in last Cold War, Japan stole Taiwan from Qing, USA and Japan can't steal Taiwan from PRC, be ready because Cold War 2.0 will be much more brutal.
