China is pure independent country, there are no foreign troops stationed in China, there's no foreign force can control Chinese politics, media, intelligence, ideology, because CCP attacked USA in 1950, CCP also attacked Soviet in 1969, now you can underr no other superpowers can dictate or force what CCP should do or what can't do, but Japan is just liberal satellite state for USA, Japan never fought back tech war, trade war, financial war against USA in 1970s 1980s, Japan has a technological ceiling restricted by USA, that's the biggest difference, also population of China is ten times that of Japan, so China has a huge consumer market to build own amd whole industrial supply chains, but Japan really rely on American market. Trade War isn't easy to win, because China is big and not American puppet

But China GDP is 6 times bigger than india, China and India still has similar growth, if India growth is also slowing down?

  6. ​ @Djamonja  if not Xi in charge of CCP then you won't see 5% Chinese GDP grownth, because CCP would kowtow to USA like Japan Germany did, like China would sanction Russia Iran and buy American expensive energy, China even would boycott himself and make self export limit, then Chinese economy would have negative growth, but it's Xi decoupled from USA since 2013, that's why China doesn't rely so much on American market today under American Tariff attack, because China can continue its industrial upgrading and embrace BRI 152 countries market.
