  1. It's really insane how much power is concentrated in so few institutions. The fact that the senate basically chooses the supreme court is a completely corrupt idea and gives the senate a huge amount of control over the entire political system by removing the safeguards placed on it. The USA is so completely broken that it's going to take a long, long time to fix even the basics.
