Lot of that ignition issues are just bad maintenace,never changed stuff as required..old age and no maintenance means owners are clueless...some people should never have cars or pets. They are unfit

@briantilley3158 cars need to be run up on highway to clean stuff out yup. City driving low speed,idling,bad for any car. Dealer tells me drive it like ya stole it once in awhile...

@johnnuttall6112 The roads here in the U.S. are 3rd world, major highways are like a war zone with craters, pot holes, wheel busting craters. and the criminals charge massive tolls for such vile roads. And traffic jams of endless proportions. Cars can never be used properly, my golf R wants to cruise 85mph plus all day long, our roads are not up to the task....we are 3rd world. Drive in Manhattan, you take a years life off it in 1 hour of stop and go, craters etc.

Oil,air filter,etc etc etc?

@ricebike Explain the logic in no Bosch in Japanese car? Bosch stuff is also made all over the world, they are the largest parts supplier in the world. When they are all made to specs, heat range etc. So I can't use NGK, Denso in my German VW golf R...yet it came from factory with NGK...and ignition coils are German, so a German ignition coil on a Japanese plug is wrong, ever hear about standards, specs..makes no sense.

@ricebike OEM is most like copper, he just put in stock, no biggie. 23 years ago the high end Bosch Platinum, NGK Denso Platinum, Iridium barely existed

@ricebike Seems odd, if it's the correct spec plug, they should be interchangeable, weird, but you had real life experience, guess other things at play. And most of my VW's come OEM with NGK...I've used Bosch top end spec'd never an issue as replacements. Either Bosch or NGK, even Denso, Desno is a big OEM supplier also, in all kinds of stuff,never had issues. In 17+ VW Audi stuff over 37 years of driving pleasure...

@ricebike Very correct , yup

Yes, there is a difference....Japaknees screws are not as deep as a Phillips...it is very different,. the stuff i worked on expensive lab analysis stuff, used horrible soft JIS junk screws...for pricey equipment, they used horrible screws and stuff.

Mileage is nothibg,all my vws go well past 100k,they are just broken in atc100k. Regular maintenance keep cars running long time. But 23 tears itself will have all libds of age worn out dried out stuff. 316,000 miles on a jetta vr6 never ran bad...never didn't get me to and fro...and highway miles is easier on anyvcar..

.29 is the one you dropped duh

Headlite lens are unsafe yellowed and should be replaced,nit safe,but people drive unsafe stuff way too often
1
@ricebike yup, but weight, price etc. Sun UV, maybe now with LED headlights, less heat and less UV than the Xenon from internal degradation, but over time sun, etc do em in. And no matter what car a Hyundai, or a Porsche all Polycarbonate will yellow out degrading headlight performance.

Since they still copy German stuff...we never learned that properly
