  1. Wear out the bearings faster...and what if the alternator is having too much output, it frys the diodes?

  2.  @BlackWolf42-  while the fan is blowing more, it's putting out more heat, so it's negated by the higher output. In the test 20A is a lot more heat.....doesn't seem prudent. sometimes products are designed a way for a reason.

  3.  @BlackWolf42-  in about 1.5 million miles of driving, I've never had an alternator fail, ever. all stock. Don't know about driveway engineering

  6. This might be like putting a 20A ckt breaker in your home panel, while leaving the 15A conductors. 12ga. versus 14ga.
