I had a new monte carlo, dash lights went out in like 3,000 miles...under warranty, dealer couldn't find problem, and one of the better chevy dealers", they wasted days, finally as they should have done replaced dash display section, never had a car ever do that, then the trans developed massive fluid leak, car had like 10,000 miles. total junk...trans totally stopped working....others had all kinds of issues, in the office. Crush this junk, before it becomes a money trap. After all the Chevy junkers, I went German in the 80's and never left...from the same dealer 17 vehicles all driven high miles 316,000 on one never stranded,never been stranded ever in decades of only German ..there is a difference.

  5. Had a few monte carlos as company cars, oy vey. junk personified. Early ones had bad cat converters, car developed no power, like a potato in the exhaust. Company Englehard made the early cats, they lost the business, to Johnson Matthey, with a better design...car handles like crap, seats where miserable, 1985 is scrap metal
