@MattG-n2z you have to experience more. I've been driving from my first vehicle a 1966 Chrysler Newport, to today's 2019 VW Golf RRR stick of course, probably 30 vehicles over the decades...plus my daughters and wife's several vehicles over the years. The 90s, 2000 where as much junk as the 1965 Newport compared to a modern 2019 vehicle, especially the VW Golf R. superior comfort, performance, efficiency, safety, and everything else. old cars are obsolete, they improve over the years. I had a dozen company vehicles on top of that, and talk about junk oy vey 1970s 1980,1990s 2000 GM junk was miserable in so many aspects. But it was included as my pay, a company car. At one time, people where so tired of the horrible company cars, GM junk, we opted to go with monthly car allowance plus miles, to get the cars we wanted to drive, and paid off early because of monthly allowances, but I drove them a lot, the closer to 21st century, the better they got, not GM junk. they where junk in the 90's 60's all the way through early 2000s. You need more experience, your claim is wrong. New is more efficient, safer, better performance, and less and less maintenance needed
