After driving now well past 1.5 million miles, on cars starting with a 1966 Chrysler, old crap is junk, carbs are more obsolete than a rotary phone....fuel injection, and now direct injection, improves everything, EVERYTHING....from a 19666 Chrysler to my current 2019 VW Golf R.....stay in your obsolete world, I'll have lots of reliable FUN, with a modern direct injection 300 hp 4 cyl Golf R with stick of course...oy vey....Im clueless, ok. 17 + VW products since 1987 have them evolve better and better, improved stuff, high miles all the time 316,000 on a VR6 Jetta GLX reliable, and never stuck ever. VW also pioneered electronic fuel injection on mass produced cars, it changed everything...direct injection is now common on everything, cus it's better...2022, not 1922 join it

@P_RO_ Stock golf r mk8 does 171 mph on the autobahn, rock solid and stable, drives like it's nothing, lets see an old Mustang do 171 mph on the Autobahn, the thing would probably be all over the road...wake up, Audi and Benz even VW tiguan R in Europe has over 450 HP using 6 cyls...time has passed you by, really, you are living in the past. That thing can cruise all day long at 150 mph plus, I can guarantee you an old Mustang ain't gonna be doing that... Join the 21st century, stuff has improved big time , and the 2019 Golf r has a 6 year 72,000 mile warranty, no U.S. car ever had anything like that bumper to bumper, it's now down to 4 and 50K, bumper to bumper...30 mpg yeah cruise for 4 hours at speed how many times ya stop to get gas, I get 380 miles per tank full...and it wants to cruise all day..old Mustang ain't happening..as AUDI says, what good is power without control...and the Golf R is 4wd for much better control than an over powered wheel rear drive old car...driving is more than a straight line ya know

@P_RO_ Cars from teh past didn't have 12 year corrosion warranty either, I had all the old JUNK 1966 Chrysler 1970 New Yorker 71 Imperial, the paints fade in 4 years, corrosion starts right away, horrible brakes, tires lasted 20,000 miles, old stuff is JUNK...polluting, inefficient JUNK been there done that, I had lots of horrible crap Chevy's as company cars, Pontiacs, all CRAP, couldn't stay in it's lane the steering was so loose and crap...Obviously you have never actually driven real performance cars, that have full control, not just wasted HP...I've had 1966 1970 decade cars, 1980, 1990, 2000, and on and on, they are now better than ever, if you really think some crap from the 1970's where better mad, oy vey...you need to wake up
