If you need to put additives in the oil, you are using the WRONG oil. The manual for my VW Golf R, specifically says to never use any type of oil additives.

Major motir oiks,that list car makers specs,as to meeting them,have all the necessary ingredients,and performance that are needed. If they didn't they couldn't put car makers specs on the labels.
