@jgn593 WRONG, tools are readily available...they are a superior fastening product, and during factory assy they don't slip out of the assemblers tools.....If I have all the stuff, it's not hard to obtain, and actually there are many many "special" tools by all makers, that are also readily available, ..some of the stuff is pricey, like an engine hoist, I would certainly not need and only a dealer would have it since they use it more often. But the majority of the hand tools needed for routine work, readily available Especially now with Internet, just look it up...I even have the Audi bolts that allow the entire bumper to slide forward for maintenance on the A6...not all that pricey either...correct tools, make things go right. I have lots of VW specialty tools as they call it, and the VW part numbers readily available at several suppliers...the correct tools matter, otherwise you are a tool

@jgn593 It's not "shit" it's a better design, do you think giant mfgs of 10 million vehicles are gonna spend engineering time to plan stuff so YOU can't work on your car, it's all about assembly line efficiency, and robustness, and stuff to perform as needed, watch an assy line, how stuff falls right into place with fasteners, cus they are designed with special tips, and head designs, so the tools hold onto them...so a TORX fastener is just made to confuse you? NOPE...And security torx, are there to really blow your mind, but the tools to use them are readily available
