  1. Vw pioneered plastic gas tanks,way back in the rabbit days...then everyone followed. Eliminated rust issues in cars with the steel tanks..50s 60s, cars had thoses issues

  3. But with all this work and new stuff,the vin says its what it is,if unfirtunetly has an accident insurance pays only much less than all your new parts. Its still an old truck....not prudent financially..hope it never happens
