  1.  @russelbaird3342  What does the mfg manual say for oil change intervals? After over 1.5 million miles of driving well over 30 cars, GM, chryslers, VWs I have never ever had an oil related engine issue by following the mfgs book specs. Do you think they know what they made better than people who just make up stuff? Modern cars easy do 10K between changes on my last few VW's and current 2019 Golf R with 87K fun fantastic reliable , never a burp miles. Changing oil unnecessarily is a waste of resources, money, and creates more waste..it adds up. One of my VW's went to 316,000 fun miles, got bored with it, changed oil at that time non syn, as per mfg spec of 7500 no issues, never even changed cam chain or guides 316,000 never stranded miles. stick of course, never touched the trans, ever. they put specs in the manuals for a reason, the last thing vehicles makers want is customers spending un needed maintenance, cus people don't like to spend money if not necessary

  2. Syn oil doesn't need to be changed at 5K miles, waste of money, and creates more waste...it's 2023, join it

  4.  @mitchhedberg4415  hahahaha, I've been doing good. i never even add between 10K oil changes, and it barely moves,mostly highway which is always best for any vehicles

  5.  @HAL-dm1eh  I've had 17+ VW's since 1987, and it certainly did go 316,000 fun reliable never stranded miles. all my cars since 1987 from the same VW dealer, cus they do good work on maintenance, and stuff keeps going and going and going. And it was a Puebla factory Jetta VW6 . Current 2019 Golf R is the best one yet 87,000 fun miles so far, driving a lot less lately. Just routine maintenance as per the book, 10K oil changes, spark plugs every 40K and some filters. GTI used to go out to like 60K I think or more for plus. Golf R wants it changed sooner. And a serpentine belt every 60K. Brakes always went 100K cus of all highway driving. And GTI and R has big brakes compared to the size of teh car, so they last a long time. I've seen Pickup trucks with smaller brakes than my golf r and GTI..bigger brakes are always better

  6.  @johnbrake1571  Follow mfg specs, cars work fine..Never an issue in dozens and dozens of cars I've owned, driveway engineers always know more than the mfg. always funny stuff. Syn oil lasts a long long long time,

  7. it needs new headlite lens also...that is one poorly designed engine bay, stuff is jammed in any where what a mess

  8. Annoying junk on mirror is also ticket able violation, obstruction of vision...and it's annoying
