  1.  @iused2bfast153  I have NEVER had a compressor clutch wear out in over 17+ VW's and all into 200,000 + miles, one Jetta VR6 GLX at 316,000 had the original compressor all the time, never a clutch issue. Compressors come on to alway keep the compressor lubed during non use months
