  1. My 2.0L T 2019 never uses a drop between 10k changes I am at 58K miles or more now...use the correct VW spec oil, never an issue. And it's not just the weight numbers, lot more involved in oil specs...i use Motul, or Liqui Moly...

  2. If that burned 4 quarts of oil in 2600 miles, the exhaust tips would be dripping wet!!!

  4.  @johnangelico667  yup, the mfg. have specs for a reason, it matters...it's not 1962 any more. Engine tolerances are so precise, oil matters

  5.  @johnangelico667  and VW has secs like 502,504,505,507, there are subtle but important differences, like all makes, it's not just weight anymore additives that stop oxidation, and a lot more going on inside a modern engine. the manual with my 2019 VW Golf R even says, never use more than 1/2 L if you need to top off low, with some oil that doesn't meet VW specs....it's that critical. Each MY had different numbers 502,504,505,507..between our 2013, 2018, 2019 MY .if the bottle doesn't have the specs, it's not the correct oil for the vehicle.
