  2. look how clean inside it is, showing how much better sealed up the inside of the door is protected from outside weather and junk, it is a better car...there is a difference....

  5. Even the door padding is thicker, and better fastened than in a cheaper VW...there is a difference, this is why Audi, BMW, Benz, PORSCHE are priced as they are, there is a difference

  6.  @stevewhite3424  Exactly, they are well designed and built, there IS a difference..every opening and connector is secured, locked in place, not dangling around, ...to appreciate the engineering, I would suspect Ray would get it...and why Benz is still in business as the oldest car and truck maker ever...they pioneered most of it

  7. The biggest advantage of getting the Benz back in shape, it's a BENZ....not a worn down Chevy or beat up Nissan, or Hyundai...more sense of accomplishment

When I replaced the window regulators on our A6 Audi years ago, i had the factory service manual, thick like a old phone book, shown full detail of removing stuff like this, and where the hidden snaps and screws are. On the Audi, it was always the plastic slider, factory up date was one with a metal insert to prevent further cracking. older VW's had similar braking plastic gliders, they had to swap out entire regulator, i got to be an expert on the VW years and years ago, since it was being replaced with same part, Audi version updated the parts and it never failed again, .... Newer VW's ain't got no issues no more, cured the window issues quite a while ago

  10. All that wiring and connectors in ONE door!! well, it has all four window and lock controls....padded and isolated, no road noise

  11. how do you get away with blacked out drivers side glass...illegal in most places, besides, at night it like driving with sunglasses, not smart at all

  12. all the extra screws and connectors, is why they don't rattle and squeak in 200,000 miles, there is a difference...
