I have never changed anything with timing chains, I had one VW Jetta VR6 316,000 fun reliable miles, never touched the timing anything, nutin', same with trans, stick of course, it even had original shocks!! And I am a stickler for stuff, I got a good one. Ford continues to underwhelm in product quality...OR, was the oil not changed on time in this thing?
