  1. I love the LEVI brand but I think they have killed the Goose that layed the golden egg!.. I really think they should have kept the salvedge Denim That was the authentic vibe , the true classic of all Jean's and it should re- created as the flagship of The Levi 501 Brand. Most of their denim is now a bit faceless or like many other denim Jean's because it is made on big standard looms , with busted seams .. when I bought my first LEVI'S in the 60s , LEVI'S and Lee riders were top of the market , everyone wore them , they had a charm of their own , there used to be a white cotton fluff on the indigo winners for many washes, the denim was raw and every body wanted them to show off the salvedged seam on the cuffs..They had a crisscross effect on the salvedge denim, that had a charm that only LEVI'S created.. If anything, they should bring the original 501s back and maybe produce the same line and the Jean's & the Jackets in a 16 or 17oz denim.. Enhance everything that was so original about them and modernise them with thicker Denim.. Bono from U2 always said about music , if you get lost always go back to your Roots! I think this also applies to the LEVI brand as well.. I'm a, faithful customer. Tony.
