  1. The NATO thing was NEVER written in stone AND it’s been 35;years since the end of the Warsaw Pact so after that amount of time, it’s a whole new ballgame. Russia SHOULD have had at least 4, 2 term Presidents or 8, 1 term Presidents or a combination since the end of the USSR had Putin not co-opted the Presidency. Does anyone really think that after 4-8 Presidents anyone in Russia would have reacted to Ukraine wanting to join NATO? Also Putin invaded Crimea and Eastern Ukraine when all Ukraine ONLY wanted to join the EU. IN 2014, NO Ukrainians were even talking about joining NATO. THAT ONLY came up AFTER the 2022 full scale invasion. Puts has no one to blame for Ukraine applying to NATO. SOMEONE needs to remind trump of this.
