  1.  @Concern_Citizen  By 2035, EVs will be almost unrecognisable compared to what they are today. Current depreciation is like phone depreciation was a few years back - progress is so rapid that a 3 year old EV is dated. But when the industry stabilises, depreciation will normalise. I remember back in the 1970s a lot of British larger petrol cars depreciated 50% in the first year. They were rapidly being superseded by much better models from abroad including Japan and Germany.

  2. I knew someone with industry connections who bought a 6 year S class for silly money, had it restored basically to new condition, and enjoyed telling people it has cost as much as a new 1.6 litre Escort. He put 60 000 trouble free miles on it in 18 months, paid for by his company.

  3. I could pay about the same for home charging but I prefer to use my solar panels as I'm retired. My average charging cost is around 6c/kwH. Fast chargers are expensive though.
