@syiridium703 Pickups were briefly popular in the UK leading up to the 2008 crisis. An electrician we know was getting mocked because he drove a van while the other tradesmen had Ford Rangers and the like. Then came the recession and they found out that they couldn't afford the repayments and were getting into negative equity. Today that electrician has a sizeable company and employs a few of the people who laughed at him.
