As I understand it the Chinese government etched a permanent QR code on certain sharp objects and keyed them to the person buying them. It's actually not a bad idea, no different from recording gun serial numbers against owners or car VINs against registered keepers. Incidentally YouTube is getting very twitchy. I wrote a post explaining to someone what a particular term for a particular white ethnic minority meant - just in plain English, no judgement or insults - and was threatened with a ban leading me to suspect that members of the said group had complained in numbers. I've deleted my account and created a new one, but this is a warning to people - the Right is on the defensive at the moment and it seems if you have a record of dissing them enough for them to notice, they may try to shut you up. High on my list of suspects is the subject of this video. Possibly best to ignore, ban without comment, and pass on.
