  3. The Muppets were operated by some highly intelligent people with excellent scriptwriters. I don't think anyone would describe the IEA, Taxpayers' Alliance etc. as either of those things. Just money grabbing sociopaths.

  4.  @yobgol  Don't forget a lot of them learnt it at the Oxford Union and the Oxford Conservative Association. The Cons basically decided that Oxford was where you got your PMs, so of course all the wannabes went to Oxford and spouted the same stuff at one another. Groupthink. It's a cult, no different in principle from those American ones that promise if you pay your subs and follow the rules you will end up in Heaven - or if you are a Mormon, ruling planets.
