  1. Ever been to France? That's a cultural difference that doesn't tell you anything. I've had American colleagues complain about the rudeness of the French because they will not take a little time to understand France and expect everybody in the world to be an American. Then people like Karzai get what they want out of the US by acting American.

  2. China doesn't have it. It seeks soft power projection. Until now relentless US propaganda has been fairly succesful in US power projection ("Coca-colonisation") but increasingly the US uses military force. China then presents itself as an ally that would not do that. The UK took over much of India almost by accident, stumbling into an empire through having to defend its trading posts from warlords. It did not start to "civilise" India until after the Rebellion, and its expansion in Africa was only slightly better than the Dutch, Belgians, French and Germans. But the expansion in the Americas was an actual genocide. We are not superior to the Russians in that respect. It is just that British settlers in the USA and Australia have written their two genocides out of their propaganda.

  4.  @AlbinoMutant  Socially the UK is far closer to Europe than to the USA. Copying your banking systems led to the 2008 financial disaster spreading here. Brexit was a terrible idea and we actually need to keep the USA much more at arms length. Your political and business class want to turn us into a Puerto Rico, not a New York. We should in fact be blocking your inadequately moderated social media that is used to promote American domination (like you do in your post) and actual fascism.
