  2.  @johnclements6614  Thing is, Mercedes has an electric taxi already that can carry 8 people. Once self driving is sorted they can add it. The systems are already there in an EV. Musk claims his cybertaxi will be cheap, but different jurisdictions have different rules and his one probably won't be saleable in most places.

  3.  @Terrackhimself  The thing is, Musk being somewhat autistic wants to eliminate human interactions. But for most people part of going out is interacting with the staff. Not obviously fast food places like McDuck, but then people are deserting them for individual non-chain restaurants and cafés.

  4. Those aren't character flaws. His character flaws are that he is a narcissist on the autism spectrum who cannot relate to other people except insofar as they do what he wants. Unfortunately some people like that become very successful. Even Hitler, awful as he was, had better emotional intelligence, which is how he came to rule Germany.

He also attacked the British caving expert who said his submarine wouldn't work with grossly abusive language.

  8. Converting all cars to EV will not fix climate change. There are other good reasons for EVs and we have one, but they will have little effect on global warming. BYD is overtaking Tesla with more appropriate EVs for world markets. BMW has overtaken them in Europe. Focussing on spreading far right white supremacist propaganda through Xwitter has taken Musk's eye completely off the ball.

  10. In the USA, access to charging points. Elsewhere they are reasonably cheap, the Ford of EVs for people who want a bit of speed but can't afford a BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Volvo etc.
