Mer What? Whats there to criticise about that law? Sounds reasonable for kids to not play games after 10pm imo

@freedomofthewanderer "kids should do whatever the hell they want" Good luck raising childrens. Especially when your children dont listen to you and they say "NO! Ill do what I want!"

Angela Rose Its not "criminalisation". No ones going to jail. Its restricting time played and money spent for children.

Miki Cerise Think for a bit first...You think game addicts will be out of the streets? And be willing to be interviewed to the world about their addiction? Lol Also, even if 1% of Chinas population has a gaming addiction, thats over 100 million people already. Thats a lot...And whats the chance of the interviewer meeting that "1 in 100" addict willing to talk? Less than 1 in 1000 imo

I believe in addition to the time restrictions, there is also limit on how much can be spent for children.

@Mr_Rain You sure thats how it goes? I heard it was 1.5hr per ID (-18), regardless of game
1
@Mr_Rain "but it is never possible to share anti-addiction for games from different companies" What do you man "never possible"? The government can just make a logic system all games must go through. Its possible
1
@Mr_Rain You never know what may happen in the future. Things are always changing in China!

@iii___iii "Only kids play video games?" Its the kids that are affected. +18 are not affected by the law
1
Michael K They already made a video on this so-called "social credit". It doesnt exist in 99% of China. Its only on trial mode on some cities.

Ewok16 As minors? How?
1
@dogtown1ewok You think minors in China are allowed to do so with all that control?
1
@dogtown1ewok If they can ban so many things, what makes you think they cant ban minors from even registering to buy stock? In fact, even registering for a robinhood account requires one to be over the age of 18.

Ji The policy only affects children, not adults.
1
Jason Misael What if their parents are always away from home trying to make a living? Its rather common in China for that.
