@Andreas M "It's awesome that UK is supporting Hong Kong being independent democracy!" I would like to see PRC support independence of Scotland and Northern Ireland independence. Wouldnt that be awesome as well?!

And we are not talking specifically about supporting independence" we are talking about supporting "peoples voice", regardless of what it may be. There has certainly be protests on that part. As for "millions of people" protesting, that is propaganda. Thats probably a cumulative amount. HK official reports are about 200k-300k. And the reason why you dont see the same large scale protest in Scotland and Northern Ireland is because their cities simply do not have a population of 7.5 million. Their largest cities, Glassgow has only half a million, and Belfast is half of that.
