@vineethg6259 India produces more than enough for its citizens? You sure? A lot of Indians cant afford these more than enough food you speak of...especially 3 times a day...

Young population means higher competition, and higher stress levels

@Udayveer_Singh Higher economic growth? Where did you get that? Correlations does not mean causation. Higher competition also means lower wage and higher inflation for resources within the age bracket

@vineethg6259 I have no doubt in mind that India is a leading producer of food. My point was not about production. My point was about being able to feed its citizens 3 meals a day, especially the poorer ones.

Itachi-kun Before China? Then what is "India"? You going to include Pakistan, Myanmar, Bangladesh etc?
1
@anempath24 Why? Why not Myanmar too?

@anempath24 My point was questioning whats this "India" before China the OP was speaking of? We speaking about British India whereby neighbouring countries were included into "India" or what?

@anempath24 Ok. Im not sure where you get your data from but here are the stats. Population in 1950: Chinas = 552m India = 361m Pakistan = 38m Bangladesh = 38m 361 + 38 + 38 = 437m How is that bigger than Chinas?

Mr J Everyone knew that this would happen ever since China had their one-child policy

@jul1ansayshii Im not Indian?
1
@jul1ansayshii Why cant I? Because youre Indian therefore you know everything about India? What you have is an information biased based on your personal experience. A simple search online can provide you the facts. India has the most undernourished population in the world, about 20% of the worlds undernourished population. Thats saying something.

@manmany3300 What do they give? Is it only rice?
1
@jul1ansayshii No, the data Im looking at comes from 2021. And I can talk about whatever I want. Its called freedom of speech. I wouldve thought the largest democracy in the world would know what that is already.
