@Poopenfarden I can understand he "tried" to make a "joke". But what exactly is the "joke"? How does dogs escaping from cafe lead to cheaper dog meat? I dont see the link

@cooliipie I dont get it? That shop sells dog meat? Whats that got to do with them running around?

@yty1941 I mean, youre making a whole lot of baseless assumptions there. How do you know theyre not making a profit? And why does it need to be at a "discount"? Theyre well fed, "free range", and theyre a breed of huskies, if anything they should be sold at a "premium". So I still dont see the link for this "joke"?

@buddyguy4723 "they do"? Or less than 1% of the population does? Because those in Alabama like to "keep their bloodlines pure". Can we lump Americans all the same just because 1% of the population does that?
6
@buddyguy4723 Yes. Celebrated by less than 0.01% of their population. Refer back to my Alabama analogy. We meant to lump everyone in the country as the "same" because of a tiny minority of the country does it?

@buddyguy4723 You ARE lumping. You said "they do", in reference to them eating dogs, when in fact 99%+ of them dont. So I dont know what "fact" are you on about. And dont try and shift goal posts now by saying its "culturally acceptable" out of no where. Not once did you say anything about "culturally acceptable". And that city you mentioned is only like 0.1% of the whole countrys population. The fact that youre taking 0.1% of the population and lumping the whole country/region as "THEY do" is THE very definition of "lumping".
5
@buddyguy4723 I know you dont care. Thats exactly why you were lumping everyone up and painting them with the same brush.
5
@buddyguy4723 "They" again. When literally over 99% of the population doesnt even eat dogs. Thats lumping whether you want to admit it or not. Moreover, why you specifically singling out dogs? Thats discrimination against animals. The Chinese dont discriminate against animals, thats why its culturally acceptable to eat anything they want. Thats why they dont bat an eye, not because "they do" (eat it). Remember, 99.9% of them dont eat dogs. If you want to advocate for not slaughtering millions of animals, then also speak for the billions (with a B) of chickens, fish, pigs etc every year. Not just singling out one animal.

@BelBelle468 Oh I can see he "tried" to make a "joke". But the fact that it didnt link killed the "joke".
4
@AADP "yes they do" what?
4
@buddyguy4723 Lol. "Uncited percentage". What is this? A thesis? Didnt you also gave an "uncited percentage"? The comment you referred to when you commented was on "Asians". Whats the population of Asia? How many dogs are slaughtered for consumption eat year? Assuming dogs are part of their diet. How many dogs are eaten per person each year. You do the maths. It comes down to less than 99.9% of the population. So much for "uncited percentage"...its confirmed with basic maths already, genius. Oh and 0.1% a year, and 0.1% a week annualised comes down to the exactly same number. Clearly youre not very bright at maths.

@urgandma I can see he "tried" to make a "joke". But the fact that it didnt link killed the "joke".

@buddyguy4723 Again, 0.1% of the population "do that" over there. And less than 0.1% of the population sell it in stores. If thats not lumping when you say "they", then I dont know what is.... You dont need to explain anything. The language you used constitutes as lumping. Simple as that. No matter what you say to "explain" yourself, youre still lumping. Thats my point. When you say something that only <0.1% of the population does as something that "they" (Asians) do, then that by definition is lumping. Period. Youre simply painting everyone there with the same brush. Regardless of country in the region. Not cool.

@buddyguy4723 Nice try. But no. I argue with facts and figures. If you want me to bore you with some basic math calculations I can do that for you if you want.

@rebeccathegreat8110 Cow meat is also "wrong". As is pig meat and other meat

@buddyguy4723 Holy shit...I used the word annualised here hoping that it rings a bell for you and get that ah-hah moment. Guess that didnt work. Since maths isnt your strong suit, let me rephrase it for you in English again. 0.1% of the people in a country/region eating dogs in a week is is the same as 0.1% of the people in a country/region eating dogs in a year. Its the same people! The numbers are the same!

@buddyguy4723 Holy Jesus...I used the word annualised here so that hopefully it rings a bell so you get it. Guess that didnt work. Since maths is not your strong suit, here let me rephrase it for you in English so you can better comprehend the numbers. 0.1% of all the people in a country/region eating dogs in a week is the same as 0.1% of all the people in a country/region eating dogs in a year. Its the SAME people! The numbers are the same!
