Bruh if China flew their military jets nearby AUS/CA land I bet you anything AUS/CA will also call that a threat.

@Bullamakanca "they flew close to the Spratley Islands which is Philippines territory (but illegally occupied by China - according to ruling of Int'l court in The Hague)." The Hague, nor any organisation in the world, has the authority to dictate which territory is part of which country. And China wasnt even at that court ruling to make their defences. Shows how "legitimate" their claims are. Moreover, when the US made their sovereign handover to the PH, they EXPLICITLY stated that the Spratly islands is NOT part of the sovereign transfer, in other words, the Spratly islands is NOT part of the PH. If PH wants the Spratly islands, they must shed their blood for it. Just like any other war over territory.

@sethbardsley5870 "Except China doesn't own those islands" So according to you, who owns them?

@joebloggs830 Which part dont I understand? More like which part of what I said did YOU not understand. Youre telling me that if China flew their military aircraft (which sole purpose of these aircrafts are for offensive purposes), into "international airspace" near your countrys territory, its not perceived as a "threat" or signs of provocation towards your country? Let me tell you something, if China did that to your country, it would make headlines all over the news, and people would be hating China for their military aggression towards your country. Thats right, MILITARY AGGRESSION would be the word used. Not "China is exercising their right of freedom of navigation". Only the West can do that apparently - without it be called "military aggression"

@sethbardsley5870 Did he say China owns the SCS? There are ISLANDS in the SCS that China owns.

@garyhankinson5695 "rubbish! It has always been contested by the Phillipines and Vietnam. China has no right as it isn’t even in their 200m economic zone" Rubbish! PH claimed the Spratly islands since 1978 onwards, Vietnam 1975 onwards. Guess when China made their claim? 1949! And since when was sovereign territory dictated by distance from their coastline? If thats the case ALL the islands off the coast of US, UK, France etc are not legitimate. Especially when MOST of these offshore islands dont have military bases on them.

@joebloggs830 China would never do that if Australia didnt provoke them.

@joebloggs830 You must be joking if the word military aggression was not used. One of your leaders Peter Dutton specifically used the words "an aggressive act from China". And he was once the minister of defence too. So what "and we let them - without perceiving it as a threat of military aggression" BS? If you didnt perceive it when why such words from one of your leaders? Even the Solomon island security deal is a "threat" to Aus. And thats further from Aus than was China to the SCS islands. So dont give me this "without perceiving it as a threat of military aggression" nonsense. And that sailed warship was a PLANNED event APPROVED and arranged by the Australian government themselves. Not UNannounced and UNapproved. You seriously cant tell the difference? Oh yes, and because the Australian government says so it must be true yeh? Youve never heard of all the lies made by Morrison? Have you been living under a rock or something? The Australian government is very anti-China. Even an untraceable cyber attack they say its China, even though theres NOT ONE shred of evidence. Ill use your words right back at you: "Now go and sit down, before you hurt yourself"
