It should not be an excuse to allow pollution" ALL the developed countries went through their industrial phase which causes heavy pollution (US, UK, EU etc). Youre not taking in consideration that China was a piss poor developing country for the past 2 centuries. Youre literally comparing the most developed countries in the world (that went through their industrial revolution) to a developing country (that is still in the midst of their industrial revolution). Also, theres so much pollution in China rn is because developed countries OUTSOURCE their most polluting factories to cheap developing countries like China. China is making stuff for people like YOU. And you blame China for it...why dont you blame your fellow citizens for consuming so much? Also, there ARE currently the most ecologically conscious country on the planet...They invest the most in Green Energy on the planet (R&D and company-wise), they produce the most Green Energy on the planet (#1 in Hydro, #1 in Wind, #1 in Biomass, #1 Solar), and theyre the #1 exporters of Green Energy products on the planet. Think twice before you speak.
