@notquiteordinary That what Im saying. You DO print money out of thin air. A lot of countries do that. The only difference was that Venezuela and other economies were ALREADY in trouble when they started printing money to tackle their hyperinflation. Hyperinflation is not a by-product of printing money out of thin air. However, a slow gradual inflation is, something every country experiences, and the amount of inflation would depend on how much new currency is flooded into the market. And Chinas currency is pegged to a basket of key currencies. And their currency didnt increase in value, their currency DECREASED in value.

@notquiteordinary Thats my point. Inflation exists in every country. And part of that is due to the fact that a dollar today is worth more than a dollar tomorrow. Printing money can be partially attributed to inflation, depending on how much you print. But the example you used was "hyperinflation" which is not caused by printing money, there are other underlying factors involved in hyperinflation.
