Cal Prewit Are you also ashamed that the US did the exact same thing (but worse) than what China is doing here? Every single school in the US you MUST learn English for ALL its classes (other than language classes).

@fireblossom8544 "Where tf do you think they can learn their mother language properly except taking language course?" How many subjects do they teach in Inner Mongolia? Only 3 additional subjects are to be in Mandarin. Maths is still in Mongolia, Science is still in Mongolia. Everything other than those 3 are still in Mongolia. Stop spreading fake news by saying its "banned". Its not. "There is no any problem as American English is the only major language used in US, where can you find other major non official languages in US" Spanish. Theres 41million native Spanish speakers in the US. More than 10x that of the Mongolian language "Even there is, at least American government WON‘T BAN THE TEACHING OR USING OF THEM AT ALL" Spanish is indeed "banned" as the primary language taught it schools. English is used for everything. The only way to learn Spanish in schools is to take the Spanish language class in schools or dedicated PRIVATE schools (but even so only 50% of subjects is allowed to be used in Spanish). "But Mongolian which is used by billions of people is being BANNED now" Fake news. Where did these "billions" come from? China only has just over a billion people, and Mongolian is used more than Mandarin? And its not banned...how many times are you gonna spread fake news?

@fireblossom8544 "If you cant learn you mother tongue in language lesson, where can you learn it properly?" So youre telling me theres no classes for these Mongolians to learn Mongolian? I call BS on that. In Southern China they have their own native languages, but in school only Mandarin is allowed to be taught. Yet their language and culture still exists? Why? Let me tell you something, even if they completely "ban" the Mongolian language, the Mongolian language would still thrive as long as the Mongolians continue to use it. Just like the language and cultures in Southern China. Also, theres nothing wrong with learning history in the national language...Mongolians can still Mongolian without using it in a history lesson. "As there is a lot of schools in US having Spanish course, they are apparently trying to meet their needs and they are never banning them" Theres no need to "ban" them when they never allowed it in the first place... only recently there has been a tiny number of PRIVATE language immersion school. And that took the country 300 years of founding to even begin to experimenting on such a thing. "They will lose their culture in a few years if they are continuously to be forced to take them" Bullshit. Refer back to my Southern China example. "there is definitely no reason why they should not include it in major school there" It IS included. Just not in those 3 additional subjects.

Bilingual means they are to learn in Mandarin AND Mongolian. Saying it will destroy Mongolian "identity" is just fear mongering propaganda, ie fake news. Every country has to learn their countries nation/official language.

@golden retreiver Fake news. Theyre not "banning" the language, theyre increasing the use of Mandarin in some subjects. There are still classes in Mongolian.

@ianmoone316 "We did not invade Mexico and then demand they speak english" Whats Mexico gotta do with this? Did Whites not invade America and demand the natives there to speak their respective countries language? "we also have bilingual education for non english speakers" And so does China. Thats exactly what theyre doing in Inner Mongolia. Instead of having all their classes conducted in Mongolian, theyre now making it bilingual. Students now have to take classes in both Mongolian and Mandarin. "there is no equivalency" Youre right. What the US did is worse. China cannot reach that level.
