@kalee6 About 1/3 of tyres are already recycled (excluding energy recycling). All we have to do is increase that figure. Even if the end product is not used domestically, there is an international market for those end products. And what "flaws" are you speaking of?

Crush it up and make other products out of it. Like rubber crumbs/pellets, oil, carbon black and other civil engineering products like soft fall surfaces, artificial turf and conveyer belts, road construction and surfacing like pavements/asphalt, tarmac sealants etc

"They can't sell them unless they reduce their price and having a loss on their business" Easy. Impose a "waste" tax on tyre users. And use that as subsidies for tyre recyclers. If thats not enough then redirect subsidies from the coal industry to the tyre recyclers.

@kalee6 "You think giant corporations gonna just bend over?" Depends on what country youre in. And theres really no need for any subsidies other than helping new industries compete. It baffles me why such an ancient and profitable industry is still being subsidised...
