  2.  @nazbmn242  Taiwans government, Republic of China, used to sit in the UN representing the country called China. But ever since they lost the civil war (lost all territory of China except for the island of Taiwan), they were kicked out of the UN to represent the country called China.

  3.  @jasons4045  Now sure where you got your info from but this is straight from the UN: UN Resolution 2758 - The resolution, passed on 25 October 1971, recognized the People's Republic of China (PRC) as "the only legitimate representative of China to the United Nations" and removed the collective representatives of Chiang Kai-shek of the Republic of China (ROC) from the United Nations. ROC was removed through a vote in the UN.

  4.  @jasons4045  That did not change the fact that ROC was VOTED OUT by the UN in favour of PRC. Chiang had no choice on that decision. ROC was VOTED out by the majority of the UN
