Chewie You think "Independent" media isnt bias? You that naive? Even in the US there are obvious pro-Democrat media and pro-Republican media. They both serve their owners agenda. Should they also add a disclaimer of their political ideologies for "transparency" purposes?

@chewie5870 "Thats why im saying not to get all your news from 1 source" I always hear all sides before forming a conclusion on anything. But facts are facts regardless of political spectrum nor media ownership. Getting information from the PRIMARY source is always the best, in this case, from those in Xinjiang themselves. "But they are still independent from state control, they still and will be critical when needed, they dont follow a "parties narrative" all the time" Facts are "partys narrative"? In Australia for example, 2 of the 4 major news channels are state-owned. Theyre also the most trusted media. Does that mean they follow what the governments narrative? Maybe? But does that mean its not facts? No. Facts are facts regardless of media ownership. If anything it tends to be the independent media that spins fake news the most . They need to generate views for money. Their goal as an enterprise is to maximum profit afterall. State-owned media have no such goal in mind. "they should be 100% clear on which side of the political spectrum their opinions lie on, to better inform the viewer and let them make their own opinion" Unfortunately, for those leaning towards the left or right, the chances are, they will ONLY be watching from media that suits their OWN personal political agenda. By making a medias political spectrum "100% clear" will only make the segregation even worse. Only when its not known will people even get the chance to hear from the "other side" so to speak. Unbias would be best for ALL media.
