Sean Lee "Hong Kong does not need China to touch it" HK is not a country. Their authority was GIVEN by PRC. HK wase only given a 50 year buffer period before theyre fully integrated back into the country. They should be grateful for that. Instead look how ungrateful they are.

@dmitchel0820 Youre brainwashed by unverified reports. It the official count is about 250k. Its 2 million cumulative. Of the same people. Everyday.

@Tomáš Spevák "Yeah, we call that Two Countries, Two Systems" One country two system is the law. Whether you like it or not. We dont expect people to understand the laws of another country. So you are forgiven. "Also, Hong Kong issues it's own passports, like sovereign nations do" PRC gave HK government the authority to issue HK Special Administrative Region of PRC passports in the name of PRC. Its not their "own" passports, the passport clearly says PRC on it with their nationality being Chinese.

@dmitchel0820 250k is less than 5% of HKs population. It looks crowded because HK is a crowded city with less space than any other city. What about the passion of those protesting for Scottish independence? Northern Ireland independence? And Quebec independence? Gonna support that too?

@Tomáš Spevák "I understand perfectly well you condescending pig" Call me what you want, me being condescending to ONE person is nothing compared to disrespecting the laws of 1.4 billion people. It is what it is. Not your so-called "Two Countries, Two Systems". HK isnt a sovereign nation in law AND in practice. They have no diplomatic relationship with any other country in this world and has no military. Foreign affairs and military are all under PRC.

@Tomáš Spevák "And you think I don't know facts that you're talking about? What if I know a lot more than you and that is why I have a different opinion?" You actually dont. This is why: 1) You said HK issues their own passports - they dont. The authority to issue PRC passports of HK is given by PRC themselves. Its not "their" passport, its PRC passport, a Special Administrative Region passport. 2) You said the state of PRC is only on paper - PRC is recognised as the legitimate government of China by 99% of the countries in this world. And currently sits on the UN as the representative of China. Thats not "only on paper". Its on paper AND in practice. 3) "we call that Two Countries, Two Systems" - No country in this world refers to HK and China as two countries, two system. So much for knowing your "facts". "PRC and HK are more like two countries in a federation, rather than one country" Except that a country has a military and can enter into diplomatic relationships with other countries whereas HK does not and cannot. "So why are there border check points between HK and China if it's one country?" Because HK is officially Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) of PRChina. All SAR of China has borders. Just because you dont understand another countrys system and how it works doesnt mean theyre 2 different countries

@loot6 "HK was given to the UK, they never should have given it back. It's part of the UK" Lol. It was "leased" to the UK. Moreover, whats given can be taken back. And I wonder why HK was "given" to the UK in the first place...hmmm oh thats right. They sold tonnes of drugs to China every year then invaded them when they said no more drugs.
