@RickyBien I know Taiwans history. Its exactly that I know that I can safely say "Taiwan" is not a country. Never in the history of Taiwan has it ever been a country. It is currently PART of Republic of China, a Chinese state that claims to be the country called China. ROC=/=Taiwan. Taiwan is a mere province of ROC. And ROC claims to be China. Therefore, Taiwan is part of China. Just not PRC China. Also, the ROC constitution has been amended multiples times in Taipei, not one time did they revoke their claim over Mainland China. So ROC stance of claiming the Mainland as part of their territory still stands. Doesnt matter what young Taiwanese "think".

C Ramirez Its written in Taiwans own governments, Republic of Chinas constitution, that Taiwan is a province of China. Of course ROC speaks for China and not a mere province.

Hannah Cho "Young people in Taiwan think we are TAIWANESE, those KMTers think they are CHINESE!" Yeh youre Taiwanese, in the same way people from Shanghai are Shanghainese, and people from Hainan are Hainanese. "Taiwanese" is not an ethnic group, unless youre talking about Taiwanese aboriginals. "Taiwan" is not even a political entity. Its merely a small province of Republic of China. As long as you fly the ROC flag, a Chinese flag mind you, the day that you are still part of China. The day you still have Chinese DNA in you, the day you are still Chinese.

@johnlee8472 Taiwan has never been independent. Its dependent on ROC. If Taiwan is independent, why is it still flying a Chinese flag? Flag of Republic of CHINA.

Pontus PAN And you need to understand that any land that is not claimed by any government, can easily be claimed by an existing government. Taiwan was claimed by ROC before they could govern themselves. Thats law and thats fact for you. Moreover, sovereignty doesnt belong to "people", it belongs to the governing power.
2
@rurumi0101 It is in line. You just dont understand.
2
@rurumi0101 The fact that you say sovereignty belongs to the "people" shows that you already dunno what youre talking about. Sovereignty is only given to governments in power. Powers recognised by the world.
2
@rurumi0101 Youre an id*ot. If sovereignty of a country belongs to the "people", then everyone has sovereignty over their own private land. If that is true, then I also have sovereignty over my own block of land. Can I claim to be my own country then? Since I have sovereignty over my own land?
2
@rurumi0101 Since when did China have private land? And calling me a liar is not defamatory? Are you a hypocrite? Its obvious to me you dont understand what the term sovereignty is. Its got nothing to do with any sort of governing system, whether itd be democratic or monarchy.

YI HONG WANG "Taiwan is a democratic and free country" If Taiwan is a free "country" then why are you flying a Chinese flag?
1
@mugaku_sogen "Taiwan is still an independent country" If Taiwan is an "independent country" then why are you flying a Chinese flag?

Ricky Bien "We young taiwanese think Taiwan is a country, China is another" If Taiwan is a country then why are you flying a Chinese flag? And why do you still claim Mainland China in your constitution?

蕭士棋 Your ancestors considered themselves Chinese.

KuoCha Fang Can any one person represent all of Taiwan?
1
Joe's Channel就是頻道 Your country? Your countrys constitution claims to be the country called China, claims Mainland China as part of your territory, and youre proudly flying a Chinese flag.
