@davidhynes You cannot arrest someone for committing a "crime" outside of their country. Otherwise China can just arrest almost every single North American for smoking weed, which is a crime in China. Moreover, business elites usually have more than 1 passport for ease of travel. Chinas passport ranks pretty low when it comes to freedom of travel. HK is much much higher. And your claim that she entered the US 333 times in 3 years is a lie. Thats basically saying she entered into the US once every 3 days for 3 years.

And extradition treaties are special cases that happen on country by country basis. The US/CA extradition treaty can only hold true if Meng committed a crime in BOTH US AND Canada, IN Canada or the US. Which she didnt. The "crime" she committed was in China. My point is that you cant arrest someone for a crime of country A, in country B, when the "crime" was committed in country C.
