@GaldenX Those limits are for minors. What you mentioned are things not for minors...

@prods5hni The limit is for children. And there are children spending all their food money on games. Hows that "dumb" to control minors from that?

@yifeiren8004 How did it backfire when theres less gaming screen time?
5
@testacals Well, its the government setting the rules for businesses, not the children. Like government setting laws for 18+ businesses to be responsible and accountable for restricting minors into their premise.

@dsnodgrass4843 I wonder what regime youre from to have those thoughts? Those restrictions are for minors. Once they hit 18 theyre free. So not sure what youre on about there.

@dsnodgrass4843 "Does turning 18 instantly wipe their memories?" What memories? You mean memories of discipline? That they shouldve had if they had parents that properly disciplined them? I dont see how thats an issue. "I can be "on about" whatever I like, because I don't live under Xi's regime. Your conditional understanding is not necessary" I said Im NOT SURE what youre on about. Not you cant be on about what youre on about. Theres a difference. Understanding the English language is necessary in communication.

@Madokaexe "don't you know how to read? The "backfire" was the decrease in tech advancements and use, games are the easiest way to teach a kid how to use computers and games are a big factor in hardware development" Oh I know how to read alright. OP didnt mention ONE thing on the above comment you just made. OP merely said "limited electronics, computers, etc." Whats that even suppose to mean? Asking you a question now suddenly means I "cant read"? You expecting me to be a mind reader? How rude can you get? You need to learn some manners. So you say it "backfired" by decreasing tech advancement. But everything points to Chinas INCREASE in tech advancement. Moreover, why does China need games to "teach" kids how to use computers? You think people cant learn to use computers without playing games? Your point here is not even a valid point... And saying it "backfired" because games are a factor in hardware development is also not a valid point. That only means they placed more money and focus on other areas that are more economically beneficial to their economy, like 5G advancement and the EV industry. So again, how is that a "backfire"?

@testacals Well what if enough children are getting are getting addicted to the gambling styled gacha then whats the solution to that? Ban in-game items? Ban games altogether? Not do anything?

@TheOzumat "Its citizens are hardly free once they hit 18" Arguable. People can say that in the West they are also "hardly" free. You gotta self-censor yourself other youll be demonised by the opposing side. No freedom of free healthcare or freedom of safety etc. "Not sure what you're on about with the discipline here either btw" He speaks something about wiping memories once they hit 18. Im QUESTIONING whether he means the memories of discipline. You know? What the restrictions are for? Disciplinary purposes?

@TheOzumat "And in China you gotta self-censor or you'll be disappeared by the state. It's not the same thing" Ha "disappear". Yes, people go to jail for sayings/doing things that break the law. Try hate speech in the US, or verbal sexual harassment. Same thing, youll "disappear" from breaking the law. And more people "disappear" in the US compared to China. Just look at the incarceration rate if you dont believe me. "Limiting game time to 3 specific hours a week and enforcing it through mass biometric surveillance" Well, they tried more tamed methods, but it didnt work. So they stepped it up and seemed to work. Whats the problem here? You getting affected by it? Less gaming is better for society so not sure what youre defending here. "is tame in comparison to some of the other shit they've pulled" Like?

Snowden and Assange did. Same thing, youll "disappear" from not self-controlling yourself.

@TheOzumat Just look at this nonsense. Im ironically being censored here myself by saying certain words linked together. Took me a while to circumvent this. So much "freedom" I have here on YT. This is an example of how YT etc controls what you can or cannot say for you to even get heard.

@dsnodgrass4843 "Your choice to comprehend what I say, or obtusely refuse to, has no effect on its validity" What validity? You said "resentment will build, and soon other laws and police will pay the price as well". China has been enacting these "draconian" laws since its founding in the 1940s. Dont you think that if they need to "pay the price" it wouldve happened by now? So not sure what "validity" youre speaking of here too.
