Theyre flying a CHINESE flag, and the state was founded in CHINA, as CHINA. "They even protect them" Only the US has a defence pact between Republic of CHINA. No other country does.

Theyre flying a CHINESE flag, and their army is called the Republic of CHINA Armed Forces. And they claim to be the country called "China". Its written very clearly in their constitution. Just because Republic of CHINA lost all their territory except for the province of Taiwan due to CIVIL WAR (war within the SAME country), doesnt mean its another country not named "China". The country is still called "China". Doesnt matter what the people of provincial Taiwan "think". Its facts that matters, not opinions.

Fact #3 Taiwans flag is a CHINESE flag. "And the people see themselves as Taiwanese" Thats an opinion. Opinions are not FACTS. But regardless, that doesnt mean anything. A Shanghainese person could see themselves as Shanghainese. But that doesnt mean theyre not Chinese too. "It simply means the constitution and country name are outdated" Wrong. Its not "outdated". ROCs constitution was revised 7 times ever since they reallocated their capital to Taiwan. They had every chance to revoke their claims over mainland China, but never did. What does that tell you? YOURE the thick one.

Until their government changes their name from Republic of CHINA to Republic of Taiwan or whatever, and change their constitution to revoke their claim as the country called "China", Taiwan will never be a country called "Taiwan". Republic of China once sat in the UN representing China, and till this day, still claims to be a country called China, not "Taiwan". Thats fact for you. So even if you want to call Republic of China a "country", its a country called China (what they claim to be), not "Taiwan" (a province of Republic of China, as per their constitution.

Heres food for thought: Instead of "containing" China. How about we contain the US? This so-called "maintaining the balance of power" is merely an excuse to not allowing any country to grow faster than themselves. Its "threatening" the US hegemony. If you really want "balance" of power, how about we contain the US and their massive military budget and military tentacles around the world?

They even sat in the UN as the representative of the country called CHINA. The reason why most countries no longer recognise ROC as the legitimate government of China anymore is because they lost 99% of their territory to PRC (current government of China). EVEN IF ROC is a "country", they claim to be the country called CHINA, not "Taiwan". Its written very clearly in their constitution that Taiwan is a PROVINCE of China.
