  1. People always talk about Beijing "breaking" their promise, yet not one mention of HK breaking their promise first. HK had a constitutional duty under Article 23 of their mini-constitution to create their very own National Security Law (NSL). But almost half of the 50 year period, they STILL did not create any NSL. Thats how these rioters were able to destroy their city to the extent that they had with practically zero consequences. Thats why Beijing had to intervene, because of HK breaking their promise. After the NSL was enforced, there was finally peace.
