@cmaven4762 Yes, you are missing the fact that divorce is mostly initiated by women. And youre also missing the fact that she probably has more money saved up over the years than her husband.

@cmaven4762 Im pretty sure theres an article on "compensation" too. This video was primarily focused on pre-martial assets like houses without going into details on other articles

@sharonrobledo136 In modern Chinese culture, a man buys the house first to show that he (and/or his family) is financially capable, then he can get married. In many cases, its the parents that chip in to fully purchase the house for their son in preparation for his marriage. Previously, women can just marry, and divorce soon after and get half the house. Not anymore

@TruffleSeeker54 Firstly, men are not the ones initiating the divorce. Women are. So women are the ones violating said "contract". And as the video mentioned, there are 21 articles. Why are you taking 1 article and applying it to everything without knowing the rest? This video only mentioned pre-martial assets like houses. Im sure there was another article (or pre-existing article) on "compensation".

@ I know that. But if your suggestion is for the Chinese, then you should be posting on a Chinese platform to suggest that. Not on a platform banned in China

Your logic is flawed. If men are such horrible partners, then why marry them? Just dont marry in the first place. Or are you telling me that women make terrible choices?

No, no @ does not mean its to you. No @ could be to anyone. For some reason, YT didnt let me tag and comment for that particular comment (and this one). Problem could indeed be avoided if YT fixed that issue. If you bothered reading the whole thread, youd see my comment afterwards saying it was addressed to who it was meant to be addressed to.

@santoshtelwane1776 Thats only if they plan on divorcing

@cruzsolo44 Im pretty sure that when it comes to anything dangerous, the man would be at the frontline at whatever the danger may be to protect his wife and child. Not everything has to be financial. Life is more valuable than money, something that men are more willing to lay down than women are.

@charIottakarotta Same comment to you: Im pretty sure that when it comes to anything dangerous, the man would be at the frontline at whatever the danger may be to protect his wife and child. Not everything has to be financial or "tasks". Ones life is the most valuable thing anyone can offer, something that men are expected to and more willing to lay down
1
@cruzsolo44 That would be up for the couple to decide on that. If a man wants a stay at home wife, then they are to discuss this before their marriage. If the women disagrees, she has the freedom to walk away before the marriage. Agree?
1
@ Right. So if after discussing this, which Im sure 99% of couples do, and the women still wants to marry. Why should a man split half his house with her if she decides to divorce afterwards? A house he bought BEFORE the marriage.
1
@cruzsolo44 I spoke nothing about finances. I said 99% of them talk about whatever expectations they have after marriage, like whether they want to be stay at home or not. How could people enter into marriage and not talk about their future? And since when was finance the "first reason" couples divorce? Where you even getting your information from? I agree on your last point, but thats not what the video is about. The video was about PRE-marital assets before the marriage. So no point talking about something that the video and the stated law is not about.
1
@cruzsolo44 Nope, this law is not made to "make families stay together". Its to prevent gold diggers from destroying a mans life.
1
@ So because theyre a minority, governments shouldnt protect them?
1
So the government shouldnt make laws to protect the minorities?
1
So the government shouldnt make laws to protect those that dont fall under the "majority"?
1
@cruzsolo44 What are you trying to say? That the government shouldnt make laws to protect those that arent part of the "majority"?
1
@cruzsolo44 And by "gold", we mean assets. Most Chinese men need a home to even marry in China. So yes, they have "gold" to dig

@sharonrobledo136 Nonono. In modern Chinese culture, you buy the house FIRST to show that youre financially capable, then you get married. In many cases, its the parents of the groom that chip in to outright purchase the house for their son in preparation for his marriage. Previously, women can just marry, and divorce after a year and get half a house for absolutely nothing. Thats not right.

@mooncr Lol the social credit system has been debunked. It doesnt exist. As for rampant censorship. Lets not prented that doesnt exist...I get that a lot here on youtube...

@baesky-hd7zt If the man was not a "decent" human being then why marry them?
1
@michelgranger5075 If you had no money, and cant make a buck to survive, would women even want to marry you? Love only gets you so far if you cant provide resources. Lets not pretend that women dont look for financial security (ie resources) when looking for a partner. Theyre biologically wired to
